Source Mountain - Ben Shan Competition Grade

Ben Shan Oolong

Oolong teas have always been my favorite, and the Ben Shan is the best tea I have ever put in my mouth. This is a competition grade tea, which means that overall quality of the picked tea leaf and attention to detail in the processing goes above and beyond most other teas

This Ben Shan oolong is a well-made classic Chinese tea that will consistently cup to a fragrance and body that is sure to satisfy the oolong tea lover! This small-leaf varietal, grown in the AnXi Region of Fujian Province, brings a distinctive aroma to the cup. It is a very attractive mix of light-green leaf that show just a hint of brown oxidization, a hint that makes the cup taste so enjoyable. It cups clear, yellow-green and is silky and smooth. This tea goes well with food and makes a most excellent iced tea. The first steep is floral with slight green tea vegetal notes. The proceed steeps become much more floral, with more of a natural sweetness coming through. Ben Shan is an oolong to have on hand for relaxing as well as entertaining.

Brew at 200*F and steep for 2 minutes. Leaves can be steep 4+ times.
