Papua New Guinea, often abbreviated PNG, is an independent island state that occupies the eastern half of the island of New Guinea located in the southwestern Pacific Ocean. This tropical paradise is one of the most diverse regions in the world with many traditional societies supporting over 850 indigenous languages. It's also a very rural area with about 80% of its 7 million inhabitants living in non-urban environments. The largely unexplored he interior of the country is thought you hide many as of yet undiscovered plant and animal species.

This particular coffee comes from the Goroka region in the Eastern Highlands of PNG. The coffee is grown in the high elevation of this lush tropical region where the coffee thrives in the misty mornings and bright sunny days. Plantation A is hand picked at an elevations of over 5,000 feet, processed through a washing process using fresh, clean mountain water, and then dried to the sun on elevated beds.

Plantation A has a medium/low acidity, typical to may Indonesian coffees. The sweet earthy flavor boasts hints of kiwi, watermelon, and green apple with caramel-like sweetness to the cup. The silky body of this coffee has great finish with an earthy aftertaste fading into a molasses flavor. It's a very distinct coffee that must be experienced to be appreciated.
